Online Star Party • Raffle Tickets

Members of the Astronomical Society of South Australia (ASSA) have shared their knowledge and views of the Universe with the public since 1892.

The ASSA Online Star Party is being held in place of the quarterly in-person Stockport Star Party for the public which, together with other public viewing nights, have being suspended in SA due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Funds raised from raffle ticket sales will be used by ASSA to buy equipment to enable safe non-contact sharing of telescope views with the general public during COVID-19 and beyond.

Raffle A: Nikon Aculon Binoculars, Book & ASSA Membership Package

This prize package includes a pair of Nikon Aculon 10x50 binoculars (details) that are excellent for viewing the night sky, the Astronomy 2021 almanac, plus a 1-year Individual Membership (digital newsletter) to the Astronomical Society of South Australia.

This prize is a Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i Photo Package (details). This is the latest version with WiFi. The mount enables anyone with a DSLR camera to take time-lapse photographs of the night sky.
